Description:
A clinic run by a religious order that offers free treatment to mentally and physically disabled children. Due to the present economic situation in Peru, the government has cut funding for institutions like this. The clinic has two sections, one private and the other serving children with economic hardship and is located at about 20 minutes walking distance from the city center.
Activities:
Play, help feed, and give as much attention as possible to the children. Lately volunteers have been organizing fun activities for the children in order to stimulate creativity and necessary skills. Volunteers with experience can also work with the physiotherapist, psychologist or social worker.
Requirements:
Being independent, enthusiastic and willing to work!
Minimum:
4 weeks
Work Schedule:
Monday through to Friday from 9.00 till 13:00. (the whole year around)

High intermediate
Capacity:
Up to 4 volunteers.
