Description:

This ecological program gives volunteers the chance to work in either national parks or nature reserves throughout Chile. Sustainable practices and the conservation of the forests and its wildlife while progressing as an industrial nation are challenges faced every day. The project is dedicated to promoting awareness of the damages to nature while educating the Chilean population as well as local stakeholders to account for their part of the sustainability of the forest.

Activities:

The organization would like to involve volunteers in a wide selection of its functions. Your tasks will include:

  1. Assisting in organizing and carrying out events of the department (conferences etc) concerning protection of the nature.
  2. Promoting sustainability and nature conservation through activities in schools and social institutions
  3. Carrying out tasks in the protected areas such as reforestation, taking care of plants, and cleaning paths and roads


Requirements:

  1. Enjoy working outside in the nature.
  2. Enthusiasm and ability to work with children.
  3. Understanding of topics about nature conservation.
  4. Be creative, motivated and active
  5. Intermediate - good level of English.
  6. Beginner to intermediate level of Spanish.
  7. Travel insurance with coverage in Chile required.
  8. Flexibility and ability to adapt to a different working environment and varying tasks.

Minimum:

Volunteers should be available for at least 4 weeks.

Spanish:

Volunteers should have an intermediate level of Spanish.
