SOCIAL PROJECT EQ-SE17 IN ECUADOR

EQ-SE17

Description:

The main objective of this project in Quito is to help people living in the streets to start a new life by offering a place to eat, have a shower and change of clothing. The foundation also offers education and workshops. Many of the children helped through this program, try to escape their problems by inhaling a type of industrial glue used for repairing shoes. An important mission of this organization is to help them stop using this drug.

Activities:

Volunteers can be asked to perform the following activities:

  1. Most importantly: give love and attention
  2. Help children with their homework/ English
  3. Help in the kitchen
  4. Play with the kids and prepare activities
  5. Help during lunchtime
  6. Perform and organize sports
  7. Organize and perform recreational activities such as singing or theatre

Requirements:

To work at this project we are searching for volunteers with the following requirements:

  1. Basic level of Spanish
  2. Mentally strong
  3. Not easily afraid
  4. Independent and self motivated
  5. Being able to handle dirtiness
  6. Communicative
  7. Patience

Minimum:

The minimum time requested is 4 weeks.

Work Schedule:

Volunteers are expected to work Monday till Friday.

Spanish:

In order to participate in these programs, you should at least have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language.
